Alphabetical Restaurant Listings

She was wondering why she couldn't look up restaurants alphabetically. And I thought, how smart ... why didn't we think of that? We only had the restaurants listings broken down into cuisine types (simple enough) but what if someone wanted to search for The Rooster Cafe. Unless you know that the Rooster Cafe is a French restaurant (lucky guess?) you'll have to go through various cuisine types until you find their listing (by the way, if you haven't been there yet, I heard it's great --- click here for maps and info).

Often times these simple and great suggestions come from ordinary, everyday people we encounter who use our site. Thanks to Kathleen Abrams for this great suggestion. We'll be sending you an ezColumbia shirt in appreciation for your great suggestion.

That goes for all of you. Send us a suggestion that is smart and obvious to you (but not to us) and we'll send you a cool ezColumbia shirt.

Local Blogs

We added a page for local blogs. It features community blogs in Howard County. If we're missing a blog, please let us know. Right now we're only listing blogs that cover community issues but we're thinking of ways to incorporate other types of local blogs. Thanks to Jessie Newburn (www.jessienewburn.com) for this wonderful suggestion. Initially we put these links in our News & Announcement section (under community classifieds). But Jessie protested saying she doesn't think of news & announcements when she thinks of blogs. So we came up with a page just for blogs and we're using feeds to show the latest 3 articles from the blogs, so it's a nice snapshot of what's new. Check it out.
